The interactive installation responds to the theme of the extinct settlements of German-origin communities living in the Carpathian Mountains. The main element is the artifacts found during field research directly at these sites. By interacting with them, the viewer uncovers the layers of the depicted landscape, which is viewed through new systems of landscape imaging and representation, such as satellite imagery or a digital relief model obtained using aerial laser scanning technology.
